Pfatprick's Perk Pulled

As Journos Joust for Jewels

Don't get me wrong. I like a good freebie as much as the next man. I'm first in line to go through the lost Christmas packages in the Dead Letter Office in February. It's where I do all my Christmas "shopping" for the next Christmas.

I always take a doggie bag to the Aust Post Christmas party and load up on those delicious little salmon things on mini pancakes with the little green branches on top. It takes me and Mrs Mailman weeks to go through all of those.

But these are all incidental to the freebies the big boys get. I'm talking all those high flying journos who couldn't find a thing bad to say about Racing Victoria when there was plenty to say. Looks like they have hit pay dirt in the form of the Asian Racing Conference.

Fantastic Freebie for Fans :

Dozens of Double Passes to the Valley

I know The Mailman's is pretty fired up about the freebies certain journalists may or may not be receiving, so I though I should dish out a few to the real people who keep the racing industry afloat. The punter.

And in particular, punters who read our website. I have managed to wangle some double passes to the Valley for the night meeting this Friday 14 November and while they are no Asian Racing Conference, I can guarantee you a happy ending. Of sorts.

All you have to do to score your very own double pass is email your name and address to nightcartman@themailman.com.au by Thursday lunchtime (so our postal working friend can then deliver them to you in time for Friday night).

Make sure you visit us again on Thursday morning for all my selections for that meeting. Cin cin!
