Who is ...

The Night Cart Man

Amongst all the form analysis and hot mail we receive here at The Mailman, we think it is time to take a different look at the volatile investment portfolio we call "The Punt".

This decision came to us about 2.30am on Sunday morning as we held an editorial meeting in the Sports Bar at Crown having witnessed first hand the unique skills of a man we call the Night Cart Man, on account of his great skills at delivering tish or pulling one out of his backside.

Having just picked a box trifecta in the eighth at Globe, which paid a lazy $1400 for a half, the Night Cart Man went on to nail a $6300 first four (for 10%) and a $120 quinella (by 3 units) all selected on the basis of the names and how they somehow related to his life.

Sadly, the great man then put it all on 23 on the roulette tables on the basis that Buddy had kicked nine a few hours earlier. His luck had run out.

The Night Cart Man will spend a good five minutes each Thursday afternoon scanning the pages of the most magnificent non web based racing publication ever - the Winning Post - and come up with his omen bets for the weekends racing.

You may be sceptical and I was too. But he can draw a long bow to any omen and pick the winners.
